YouTube Videos on Google

These are a few interesting videos on Google I found in youTube.

This one is very interesting. A Great video that tells in plain and simple English, how Google came into being and how it makes money.

Don't be evil.
That is the motto of the company.

The Android Phone is Cool

Hey this is cool. Just realised that all your data on the Google applications are available on the phone as part of the OS and the UI, after you log in. It is true in the reverse also. What ever you do on the phone gets reflected in Google. This includes your mail, contacts, calendar and web history and many more..

Java JCP and JSRs

Ever wondered want is a JSR or java specification is? and the who creates it?. Here is an excerpt from the wiki page which describes the JSR and JCP.

The Java Community Process or JCP, established in 1998, is a formalized process which allows interested parties to be involved in the definition of future versions and features of the Java platform.

The JCP involves the use of Java Specification Request (JSR), which are formal documents that describe proposed specifications and technologies to be added to the Java platform. Formal public reviews of JSRs are conducted before the JSR becomes final and is voted on by the JCP Executive Committee. A final JSR provides a reference implementation which is a free implementation of the technology in source code form and a Technology Compatibility Kit to verify the API specification

There are over 300 JSRs.
Some of the more visible JSRs are listed in the Wikipedia page here:

First pages of Google - from the Internet Archive

Internet Way Back Machine is the internet archive which has archived the internet from 1996. You can go to this page here http://www.archive.org/web/web.php and type in the domain name of the site, click the “take me back” button and see how it looked like way back in time.

Can you imagine google.com was pointing to a page like this on Nov11, 1998 ?

The first link is was pointing to http://web.archive.org/web/19981111183552/google.stanford.edu/ and the second to http://web.archive.org/web/19990125084553/alpha.google.com/. The link has got a funny text winch reads "Might-work-some-of-the-time-prototype that is much more up to date." Follow those links to travel back in time, and experience the beginning of a revolution on the internet, which is still on the roll.
You can travel back in time and see how Google or any other site changed its faces over the years

click here to see Google homepage has changed.

Some of the interesting sites i went back in time where. java.sun.com, rediff.com, and of course renjith.com. They have archived renjith.com also. BTW, the first archive of java.sun.com on dec 10 1997 has got the link "Announcing Enterprise JavaBeans”. Following this link I was able to see how the EJB1.0 spec download page looked like in 1996.
